Hi guys

I checked the Creative website for Vista 64bit drivers earlier and the date says 9th Oct 2007 I thought 'Great' as the old one's were May 2007, but they are the same version number

I have the constant hissing with or without drivers so I want to make sure I have the latest drivers :(

I have the Xtrememusic card so which are the very latest?

If Someone could to point me in the right direction please?

Thanks

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi series Driver 2.15.0003

No, they've pulled the 2.15.0003 drivers due to BSODs with various OpenAL games.
They where originally released on Creative's site on the 1st and then pulled and replaced with the old drivers. For what ever reason they've put the old drivers up as the date that they where swapped not the upload date of the original drivers.

it's a shame as the 2.15.0003 drivers sorted a lot of my issues, especially with BF2 but it now BSODs every time I exit the game.

I seem to have lost CMSS after installing these drivers. the tab seems to be missing. have reinstalled but still missing. grrrr

Ah, thanks for this thread.

I had a look at the Creative site earlier, and spotted new drivers, and was going to risk installing them this afternoon (and I've always found installing new X-FI drivers a risk) ;) Just thought I'd search these forums first for any info before installing, and I'm glad I did.

I'll leave it again for now then, and wait for the 0003.

I'm still on 6.0.1.1302 according to my Device Manager.
They seem to work OK :) No sound probs/crashes, and never had the 4gb problem, or popping or crackling.

I did upgrade once, but it kept resetting the S/PDIF out to off every time I booted, so I'd have no sound, unless I went to the control panel and disabled, and then reenabled the S/PDIF, so went back to the old driver.

V1N.

Can't believe we waited so long and then they made a major **** up .....lol

Can't say I'm surprised really! :)

Glad it helped you though ;)
