Right, iv'e had these speakers for about 2 years now, and at first this problem either wasn't there, or I never noticed it back then, but I've been noticing it now for quite a while and its bugging the **** out of me.
The sub has a horrible... how can I put this... not so much rattling effect, but like a low sounding echo, thats really loud, and just makes your ears vibrate, and totally overwhelms any sound or music I have playing. It's definitly not right, because I have a set of old 2.1 Altec Lansing speakers, and the sub sounds absolutly wonderfull on those.
I have a mate who has the 5.1 Inspire speakers, and his sub also sounds great when its turned up.
I really don't understand why my sub sounds so horrible when turned up, surely theres a reason for it, and possibly I way to fix it.
One thing to note, is that if I press against the speaker on the sub, (so its not vibrating as much) the horrible, overwhelming, low sounding, echo isnt as strong, and doesn't sound too bad.
Anyone know why this might be happening, or anything I can do to improve it?
cheers.
