I got a couple of these live drive thingies... 2 of them I got with SBLive cards, are both white and the only difference is that one has the I.R remote control and mini MIDI Ports, the other has normal MidiPorts but no I.R.
Both those as I said came with SBLive cards of some decription that have long gone.
Now, I was under the impression that they will not work with Audigy cards.
However, they have been running on Audigy 1 cards just fine for easily over a year now and the yare just fine.... OK.
Now, lets move over to my No2 PC.
Thats running an Audigy 2 ZS, that too, also has a Live Drive, but its own.
So, here we come to the real part of my questioning...
The LiveDrives from the SBLive are ok with Audigy 1, and I assume vice Versa
The Audigy 2 ZS card has been playing up on me recently ( cant get it to 5.1 - only 2.0 / plus some cackles etc )
Can I, for a short while use the Audigy 1 with the Audigy 2's Live drive?
Reasons are simple...
My speakers have no headphone socket, and I need the Live drive.
The livedrives on the Audigy 1 are white and this one is black ( I know I know, but hey... )
Another thing...
My XFI downstairs does not have the pins necessary to connect it to any Live Drive, ( Yes, I am cheap I know ) however, I see a lot of them do!
Could I use one of those XFI cards on the LiveDrives from the Audigy 2 and indeed on the Audigy 1?
