Silly question but what is the diference between all the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi models.

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1 Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer 7.1 Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 7.1 Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series 7.1 Sound
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty 7.1 Champion Series Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro 7.1 Sound Card

and is the £90 fatal1ty version any better than the £28 xtreme audio version?

[edit]
is it worth upgrading from a Audigy 2 ZS ?

The difference between the X-Fi cards are amount of memory and extras. For example the gaming cards are suppose to have faster and tuned memory for gaming.

To be honest I don't think there is a huge difference in speed between the models and the reason I bought the Elite pro (think thats the version I got) was due to it having a front panel that mounts in the 5 1/4 drive bay in the case, thus giving me easy access to plug in headsets etc.

As for your upgrade question I think you need to ask yourself will you have any use for the new features on X-Fi compared to your old card? If not upgrading is probably not for you.

I don't even know which one I have, just know it as the X-Fi Fatal1ty. Think I paid about £150 for it or something daft life that about a year ago.

Thanks guys but its to lait now ive ordered the music version.

All i have to do now is create a cable to enable some front pannel connectors (good thing i work of a HW design and manufacture company) :D
