Creative T40 series 2 help

Hi all.

Ive have just purchased the creative T40 series II speakers and I am about to connect them to my PC. Has anyone got these already? As I would like to know how to get the best sound settings out of them. My sound card is the standard realtek HD audio 7.1. Thank you

Check that 2.0 is selected in the Realtek control panel. Not much else to do but to connect the speakers to the motherboard, turn them on and play some music.

Only settings to consider are on the speakers themselves; bass and treble knobs.

Depending on your preferences whether is more bass heavily, or better clarity.

For mine, with the knobs default at the middle pointing at 12 o'clock, I prefer to turn down the bass a bit further (pointing toward around between 10 and 11 o'clock) to improve the clarity and details.
