Creative X-Fi Extreme Gamer, no line in?

Hi,

I have the above sound card, I am a DJ and wish to record mixes, now on my onboard sound card I have a line in port which i use to record mixes onto my PC. The X-Fi soundcard does not have a line in port.

Only one I can find is the line in-mic port which when i plug it into gives horrible over powering results when recording.

There is an optical line in port but i do not have an optical connection.

Need to buy a convertor, I would assume the Extreme Music has one.

What are the convertors called? Was wondering if it would be easier doing a swap on the card.

Mute mic-in and unmute line-in on windows volume control and see what it's like then, if you haven't tried already.

From memory (mine isnt installed any more due to compatability issues with my nforce 4 mobo) isnt the optical in a combi jack allowing coax input also? Im sure it says this in the manual.
