I bought an Elite Pro today for a general sound upgrade and to fix the "sound lag" I was experiencing on my old Audigy 2 while connected to my Xbox 360 with the optical connection. It seems to have fixed the lag (I think) but I now have an even bigger problem it seems in games that have loud sounds like explosions are making the sound crackle and pop. It’s extremely frustrating and I’ve tried everything to fix it but have been unsuccessful.

Does anyone else have an X-Fi and use the optical connection from there 360 and get the same problem? As a last resort I thinking of returning it and getting my money, I bought it from Overclockers so would I be able to do that? I feel it’s sad I just spent £180 on a top of the range sound card and it has stupid problems like that, I may as well just stick to my Audigy.

Because the only other alternative is to have it plugged straight into my speaker system but that would require switching it to opitical mode which would mean i couldnt have sound from my pc coming out at the same time, not to mention all the other external devices i have hooked up to my X-Fi. Its why i bought the elite pro.

So no one has the same problem? Ugh getting tired of this, my threads never get replys, am I really that replusive?
