hi all,

Have Creative sorted out there drivers for the x-fi range on vista yet?

when Vista launched the new Vista Audi engine processs (forgot what its called now) used to run at 80% if a feature was enabled for the soundcard

Has this been fixed yet? because I have just built a new PC, and was wondering if i should stick with onboard sound, or stick my creative card in

Downloaded the latest X-Fi drivers the other day (dated 5.11.07 I think) and Vista wouldn't install them because they were unsigned. Working fine now with the previous set, 4GB RAM, Vista64bit, 8800 card etc etc that were all issues in the past, but now fixed.

i never used the frist few drivers (not being able to used the apps FTF) but as soon as the frist vista driver iso was out i tryed them and they have been realy solid in vista 64bit

I have Vista and X-Fi Music ... confusing as I needed to download the drivers, there are several sets. One of which is the correct ones for the X-Fi "Music" card. Once I got the right ones, works a treat!

Any of you guys had issues with the xfi, i have the xfi gamer, clean install of vista 64 and about 5 minutes into a game, or listening to music, I get this insane high pitch sound and it locks up. I moved my xfi card up a slot and this time I got a bsod with CTEDSPFX.dell, argh!

Are you using the latest drivers? These clear up a lot of feedback, high pitch noises etc with x64 Vista and 4 Gig of ram.

I have a Creative X-FI Fatal1ty, 4GB of Ram and Vista 64Bit.

Had serious problems up until latest driver release, had to use onboard sound. all working 100% now :)
