I realised there were only a handful of cards I used from my wallet, so seemed kinda pointless to be carrying a bulky wallet in my pocket all the time.

Oyster Card, Debit Card, Credit Card and Driving Licence, and also a note or 2 of cash.

Ive just been using a cheap Natwest plastic card holder...but I've been thinking about getting a proper metal/chrome one.

Anyone use them?

I wouldn't mind using them but then I'd have to carry something else seperatley for my coins. Whilst I do have one of those coin pouch things, I might as well just carry one tihng than two. That's why I usually just carry my wallet.

and I hate haveing a pocket full of change rattling around

I don't really see the point in a card holder. The reason I put all my cards in my wallet is because it's big, I always have it on me and it's more difficult to lose than something the size of a card.

#1 reason I carry a wallet is to put coins in.
I've looked at getting a new wallet for a while, it's hard to find one I like though with decent capacity for coinage.

Bloody coins are annoying, but then so is my wallet, I have a Paul Smith 'wallpaper' wallet and whilst posh and fancy (etc) it's a little on the big side. I find myself using it for storage in the car or at work but never in my pocket, I don't like the bulk and bulge of a wallet especially in my suit.

For me, coins just go in the front trouser pocket. I rarely have more than £5 of change at any one time, and I try to get rid of silver and coppers when I can.

For me, a wallet should be as small as possible. I'm the same, in that I only need 4 or 5 cards and a few notes of cash.

I find it so cringeworthy when I see a guy rooting round in the change bit of his wallet, looks like an old lady.

Decent wallets don't come with them for a reason, treat yourself to a nice Paul Smith wallet or something similar, mines full of cards and is still pretty slim.

Real men carry change in their pockets. lol anything smaller than 10p gets dumped in a pot at home that gets emptied once a year for a treat (last pot raised me 70 quid :D)

I would use a card holder but sometimes i take a fair few notes out when shopping (to restrict my spending) so a wallet is needed here

I carry a wallet mainly for coins. I think that technically makes it a purse or something, but I'd lose it all if I didn't use one :p

I use a cardholder.

Coins go in the money pocket of the jeans (emptied regularly of pointlessly small change), notes go in a back pocket.

I bought a plain leather holder from Marks & Spencer for about a tenner. Nicely made, it's got about 8 pockets/slits on the inside and one on the outside as well as a small SIM Card pocket. Your Oyster card will still work through the leather.

Wrap cash around the cards = Done?

Personally I carry my wallet because I use a lot of different cards, it keeps them organised. Plus cash.
Change goes in the pocket, it's a wallet not a purse, you can't sit on a wallet when it's full of change anyway. Like when you come back from a night out and have about 20 quid in change where you spent a load of notes.
