What criteria do you use when adding or replacing a car? A good friend applies what he calls the Use Case Rule as it forces clarity on purpose. Personally think its quite a helpful discipline and I recently did a blog on it. Just using Man Math makes it too easy.

Age 30+ : Is the boot big enough for a pram?
Age 47+ : Can my kids get insured on it?

Think I have picked most of my dad's "tyre kicker" car buying habits and arbitrary mileage/age rules.

Need to buy an auto next purchase as my left knee is wrecked.

Now I sound like my old man, jesus.

In descending order of importance:

Number of cup holders
How cool the key looks
Can I fit my large sunglasses case in the glove box
Number of windscreen wiper speeds available
Total length of seat belt
What's the nearest prime number to the on the road price.

Think that about covers it.
