I have 2x1Gb Ballistix 6400(800Mhz) and they are supposed to have 4-4-4-12 timings.Cpuz says 5-5-5-18.I searched in the bios and there is an option to change the timings manually(they are in auto mode now)but there are also some other options in the same page that I dont know what to change them to.Should I manually change the timings? And what about the other options?

Cool thanks!I didnt know I had to change memory voltage too.Why arent those settings at their highest values?I will start overclocking my Q6600 tommorow, will I have to mess again with timing settings and voltages?

Thanks for the replies Cob.I just tried to change the timings and voltage.First of all,the lowest value of the cycle time is 15,shouldnt it be 12?I changed it to 4-4-4-15,set the voltage at 2.2,saved the settings and then it wouldnt boot!I had to clear the CMOS.Have I done anything wrong?

Odd. Unless you mean the Refresh Cycle Time, which can be left on Auto.

These are the first 4 settings and how they should be set-

CAS latency Time - 4
RAS to CAS Delay - 4
RAS Precharge - 4
Precharge Delay - 12

Have you touched the CPU FSB yet?

Hmm,I had a look on cpuz before I messed with my ram,and the last one was cycle time, not precharge delay,so I changed the cycle time.Precharge delay isnt the 4th setting, its the 5th,the cycle time is 4th.I havent touched CPU fsb yet.

EDIT:Oops, you were right,Im such a noob lol.Just changed it to 4-4-4-12 at 2.2V and it booted fine.I get the same values at cpuz. Thanks once again :D.My first "tweaking"attempt and I already messed it up lol.

Thanks for the tip.My OCing marathon will start tommorow and I have no clue where to start from lol.I have readed the sticky a few times,I have a general idea but the whole FSB/voltages/ratio and stuff are really confusing for a noob like me.
