Crucial M4 60gb or Corsair Force 60gb ?

found the crucial M4 and Corsair force for the same price.

normally the corsiar force is about £10 more expensive than the M4.
but managaed to find it for £80 inc postage

so it worth going for the corsair force over the M4 as it seems to be faster?

Faster when doing what?
If it is bench marks where sequential read/write is tested then sandforce controller based drives will be faster, but in real life usage where the random(4k) read/write is important Marvel controller in Crucial drives are faster.

its read speed is 550mbps and its write is 490 mbps.

where as the m4 is 550MB/sec with firmware 0009 read and 110MB/sec with firmware 0009 write

the forces speeds seem to be faster so for the exact same price i might aswell get more speed even if i wont need it.

however i do know that the m4 is very reliable

hence my question

Any difference in overall speed will probably be unnoticeable outside of a benchmark. I'd say reliability is more important and with that in mind I'd only ever go Crucial, or Intel. While this is just a personal opinion, it does seem to mirror the general consensus with current generation SSD's.

Another suggestion would be get a bigger drive. 60gb will be gone before you know it, even if it's just an OS drive.

I'd save for 128 tbh.

I bought a 64gb and I'm at 49GB after windows install.

Planning to install wow (25GB) which will leave me only 24GB for the bloat that is sadly unavoidable with Windows based software
