Oh dear. Was going to order the OCZ Agility, now I might get this instead
Would I see any difference between the two as a boot/app/games drive?

With a stopwatch? Yes. In real terms though, if you're currently on a HDD and moving to SSD, even the Agility will be a massive leap for you.

Shame the sequential write on the 64GB is slow in comparison to the others, that's a nice price point.

Tiny bit slower than the Vertex 3 and the Intel 510, £40+ cheaper than both, and an extra 8GB capacity (the 128GB model).

Can someone confirm this for me?

Are you comparing the Crucial 128GB to the OCZ 120GB? If so they are both the same drive but OCZ gives the true value

"Low Power Consumption: 150 mW in operation, .85 mW in standby"

.85 mW ?? Surely not! (The anandtech review above suggests 3W/0.66W)

Not that a few watts is going to melt the icecaps overnight, but that's a bit ambitious. The real drawback with these drives (and the C300 series) is the relatively slow write speeds, presumably from using a Marvell controller instead of Sandforce (particularly noticeable on the smaller drives). But then the read speeds are impressive, and you typically do a lot more reads than writes - dunno how this would affect SSD cacheing (when Z68 arrives).

Nevertheless, very competitively priced for the performance.

Apparently these are now also delayed. Other retailers have set the ETA back to 25/04/2011. It would be nice if the manufacturers could get their act together and make enough for launch.

Blooming heck, why is the write speed so insignificant compared to the read speed on the 64GB version?

Because it makes it cheaper? Why does write speed matter on a 64 Gb drive?

It makes a perfect OS drive, fast read speeds are all that matter on the 64 Gb model.

Tempted with the 128, but want a little more space - Noticed the price on the 256 is wrong, scrolled down and theres a different price listed underneath.

Guessing its £360 so might wanna change the price! knock me a few ££ off for noticing and i might just get one ;)
