Crucial or OCZ SSD?

There seems to be a lot of fans of the M4. I really don't know what it gives over the Samsung 830 though.

It's bulletproof. It's still one of the quickest as well. But i take reliability over a tiny bit more speed that i wouldn't notice anyway 100% of the time.

This is what I've heard and read and is the main reason I decided on the M4
:)

Also, the M4 is a fair bit cheaper at the moment :)

I got mine today (M4) and was in good nick but it's the same woman who always delivers and she is pretty good.

I've just got this, and going from a couple of old tired mechanical drives. Clean install of windows on a what can only be described a pile of poo motherboard with awful sata ports and getting pretty **** benchmark scores but none of that matters, it's SOOOOOOOOO fast.

God knows what it be like when my Z77 board gets here (I know it's not going to scale the same way!). My PC is suddenly actually a joy to use even though it's pretty old and tired. I'm just a the start of a major upgrade and got this due to OCuk deal of the day and I couldn't be more pleased with it, so much of a difference!

Just did some speed tests. No where near the speeds of the M4 128GB. Is this right?

Roughly what I get on my Sata2 interface, with sata3 of course it would be more.

Check you have Sata3 ports and then check the drive is connected to them!

those figures are right for sata2 ports, and msahci is what you want to use, this is what to expect on intel sata3,

the m4 will have lower write speeds but that doesnt matter, its read speeds that count

and i doubt youll notice any realworld difference from sata2 to sata3
