Im not having luck at all with my newish computer build...

I was loading up Counter Strike and the computer BSODed on me and upon rebooting the BIOS does not find my SSD just the SATA ones. And when i inserted the disc to format it did not find the SSD, again just the SATAs.

I installed Win 7 on one of my SATAs till I RMA my SSD. Will phone tomorrow morning and see what they say, but do you think it sounds like a bummed drive?

Drives do not suddenly disappear for no apparent reason unless they're faulty. I suppose it can be difficult to verify if there's no click of death or other mechanical sounds to indicate the status of the drive.

The only thing I can suggest is to check the data interface and power cables to ensure they have not somehow been dislodged (perhaps by a particularly vigorous session of Counter Strike). If not, then it may be RMA time.

I have spent all day trying to re-install windows but to no avail, it will sometimes crash, or disappear from BIOS etc, and installed windows on my SATA HDD (on this now) and no faults.

I phoned OC and im sending it off as an RMA tomorrow morning.

if its sandybrige on an early board in a sata II port it could be the issue thats causing all the rma's

I never ran anything on the bummed ports so I dont think that would have influenced the problem, but you never know with hardware!
