Crysis 2 - What upgrades are you going to make?

What!?

:p

Yeah, I know, but they still develop games exclusively for the PC, not just do poor ports from consoles to PC like all the companies today, even though they might not be your big blockbuster type of games, but the ones like alien swarm, which is amazing IMO and some others. Would happily have paid money for alien swarm TBH.

Actually anyone fancy playing a game of alien swarm now? :p

Now why does this face reminds me as a parody for 'asim18' a while back lol:D.

I will wait for the reviews, I did hear a while ago that the crysis 2 will be less demanding than the other 2 versions, due to console port/ compatibility. But we will wait and see.

None, it will be a gash port

If it can run on a 5 year old console then it should work on my Q6600 & 5770. If not then i'll carry on playing Trackmania and Starcraft 2

ROFL...

I agree though.

I will be upgrading nothing for Crysis 2 as firstly, I will not be purchasing it and secondly, the game is not going to be that demanding anyway unless it is sloppily coded but even then, it would have to be a mess to run badly as the 360 is that far behind it is laughable.

crysis 2 performance remains to be seen

personally i am going to wait until we see the games actual requirements but after the first one, i dont think it is something i will upgrade for.

my single 480 plays everything apart from metro at 2560X1600 with no issues.

perhaps i will look at SLI but really dont think its worth having another graphics card in there.

i suppose if it needs physx then i may throw my 8800gt in the system whilst im playing it to give it a bit of a boost.

A lot of people seem to be suckered in by the PR guff coming out from Crytek about how Crysis 2 will run smoothly and/or the fact that it's also a console game. You only have to look at the likes of GTA4 to see that crossplatform games can perform badly (the reason being irrelevant - just because something is a 'shoddy port' or 'badly coded' doesn't mean that the performance is any less of an issue). I'd be amazed if many people can run the game smoothly (60+fps) on max settings.
