Crysis2 Demo is coming to PC now!

Not at all, all i've seen is complaints about a CoD clone and average graphics from PC gamers, nothing from console users as they appear to be enjoying the game [reported by various websites and players], so they'll get their sales easily in the console market, the PC gamers need more convincing.

I downloaded it on my 360 trust me its poor (graphically especially) Halo Reach is much better looking (and even thats dated compared to PC FPS if you ask me). Crytek made way too much compression to get the FPS but its ended up looking like what it is a poor mans Crysis!!!! LOL Crysis2 Demo on 360 could just as easily be a Crysis 1 PC map its really little different other than the setting nearly everything else is almost the same as it was on PC in 2007!!!!

You just have to laugh when Crytek CEO was putting all his eggs into the console fanboy's basket & straight out saying PC gamers were such pirates Crytek could no longer make PC exclusives then they turn out a game which is sub-par & not getting any love from the 360 fanboys as they only seem to want Halo/COD sequels forever so now Crytek have a problem if they want to cover the huge development costs they have to come back to PC gamers to minimise risk ;)

I've played the Xbox demo and in terms of sales, they may be making the wrong decision releasing a demo on the PC first.

It needs to be a big improvement on the console version or people will just not be interested.

I reckon it will obviously be dumbed down, but the question is, do they put some effort into the demo but release a different final product?

I know the original Crysis is not a good analogue to use, but it's all we have. The demo for Crysis, in my opinion, was extremely representative of the final product. Let's hope they haven't lost their way.

What i mean is, will the demo be a one off marketing gimmick so we buy the game, but it looks nothing like the demo but pretty much like the Xbox 360's version just to get PC gamers to give them money?

Well that's what I was saying too - I hope not.

I doubt they would do that anyway, they'd lose a lot of credibility very fast.

i'm sure the gfx on crysis 2 will be at least crysis 1 standard on dx10 and a bit better in dx11 but will perform better as cryengine 3 will use more processor cores. if that's the case i'll be satisfied. the xbox version is probably running on very low detail settings so ofcourse the xbox demo is going to look crap.

how do you know that the crysis 2 demo on xbox360 was not successful?
you got any data to back this up?

Here we go, the diss the consoles thread yet again from the OP.

Last time I checked, the 360 demo of Crysis 2 was a multiplayer only demo, so it's rather obvious that visuals will be toned down - in the same many GRAW and other games have all the eye candy toned down for maximum smoothness online.

Lets face it, Crytek just like Rockstar couldn't make a decent multiplayer title if they tried. Its all about the single player experience - and we've all played the demo of that haven't we?...no wait.

I think it looks significantly better than any other game on the 360, certainly leaps and bounds ahead of titles like Reach. That said, it still looks pretty poor compared to the PC screenshots, but given the hardware they've done a good job.

Can't wait to get it on my PC!

Why do consoles need to have visuals toned down for MP? This doesn't happen on PC? Next gen eh?

WAT?

Anyway, I don't even get a stuiff one for Crysis 2, the previous games were too meh after a while once the novelty of hurling Koreans in the air while shouting "YANKEESHANKEE THIS!" wore off :/
