CS3 or light room

What would you get for editing photos? I used to have CS2 but want to up-grade, but i am unsure of what to buy.

Depends what you will be doing.

If you are going to be doing RAW work and not much post-processing then Lightroom will be fine.

How often are you using CS2 for photo editing?

Photoshop and Lightroom are completely different applications.

Photoshop for serious image editing
Lightroom for RAW file cataloging and basic image editing with batch sync options

I dont use CS2 all that often to be honest. Maybe the cheaper option is lightroom

Thought about Photoshop Elements 5?

More processing options than Lightroom, plus it'll still handle RAW files (as long as your camera is on the list!) and it has a built in photo organiser as well.
