I was going about 20mph through my estate when some old biddy came round a corner on my side of the road...
I dodged her and thought I got away with it, till "bump" the back left wheel hit the curb... knocking me slightly - I knew that I had probably damaged it badly
Anyways, it took a very small chunk out of the wheel, which isn't obvious at all. However, the tyre has a small chunk missing and its on the wall of the tyre. It looks like a flap, as it is still attached. (no pics sorry!)
Now, I know this could be a dangerous thing to have and it is also an MOT failure.
Do I take it to my local garage where I bought it and ask them if its worth changing? (rather than go to a tyre shop, where they will just recommend I buy a new tyre) Any alternatives in this situation? how important is it that I get it looked at?
