I like to keep a few hundred in the bank and used to put away £1000 cash as a nice emergency fund.

Not everyone has rent or mortgages. Some of us have paid off our houses and have no debt and so can live on very little money a month. I think my total bills come to less than £500 per month and that includes stuff like broadband.

Can really **** up your day when you look at the account at the wrong time. Especially after I've paid for flights, hotels, etc. Checked a few days ago but not checking again for a week or two when it's been padded up again.

Nope.

I'm a student. Even though I have two jobs I'm in a constant state of broke. The reason I'm spending 500 tomorrow is that I need to fix my PC, after it blew up; so that's 160 quid on a 2500k, 200 quid on some new speakers, 50 on my contract (went over net allowance) and 70 quid to my mum for rent. Oh and about 60 for a night out on the ****

Edit: oh and I have another account which is exactly -1000, I love my student interst free overdraft
