What is the correct way to start and finish an email in which a CV is enclosed as part of a job application?

Also, any names of recipients are unknown.

Subject: CV - Job you are applying for/Advertisement reference if there is one

Body: To whom it may concern,

Please find attached my CV in application to the <job role> advertised/posted in the paper/on your website/etc.

Please contact me should you have any problems viewing the file.

Yours faithfully,

Name

Attach it in PDF.

cheers sin, have been instructed generally to attach in .doc format, unless pdf is specifically instructed, although I'm very tempted to convert to pdf as it will negate any formatting issues that may arise upon opening it in various versions of different software.

In fact PDF has got to be the way to go screw what others think :).

I have added a bit more of a covering note to the email stating why I am interested in the position etc.

Thanks all for your help.

I always send PDF as there is no need for a doc file, unless you are an agency in which case they always claim they cant open pdf's and need word documents which translates to "we want to remove all your details and **** with your CV before sending it out"!
