my nikon d50 had a drop, the thumb wheel no longer works.
do not use the thumbwheel much as most functions can be done without it apart from changing manual settings. just had a quote of 140 plus vat to fix it.
do i
use as is?
pay out the cash and have it fixed?
buy a d80?
help wanted

thanks

i couldn't use mine like that. get some other quotes on fixing it. or sell it as broken, and buy a d80 :D

Agreed. I couldn't use my camera without the wheel. And £140+vat is a silly price for a fix like that. Id say sell it as broken then buy a new camera (D80 being a good choice.) :)

switch to canon :D

seriously though, sell it as broken and upgrade, that's what i did with my 10D.
