Not to thread jump, but what is wrong with P6000's?? My car has them on the front, and Pirelli p7's on the back, and while i havent reallt pushed the car yet they seem ok...

My experience with the p6000 was terrible. Once the roads were wet the car was all over the place (This is a 1.4 fiesta, not a powerhouse).

I might try a Falken or Maxxis next for the lolz. My Conti CS3's on the front of the clio only lasted 4800 miles at 70 quid a corner

I've had all sorts of tyre's on my various cars down the years everything from the mighty goodyear eagle f1 to a very very cheap chinese remould (I was a student it was that or run with 3 wheels) and I can honestly say I've never noticed any difference what so ever in the wet or dry so make of that what you will.
My dad had a set put on his classic Anglia, one with drum brakes all around, still managed to lock them up
This doesn't surprise me, given that drum brakes are actually more efficent than discs when set up correctly, although they do suffer from fade and heat build up quicker.

I just got two of these fitted today, £120 fitted. Too early to say what they're like but I don't care if they're only going to last 5k

Is your Focus RWD?
The rear tyres I had were incredibly old, apparently fitted just so it could pass the MOT prior to sale. As a result grip was a bit hairy in certain conditions, and was a tad shaky at motorway speeds.
It's like night and day, and definitely not placebo effect.
It could be said that any tyre is better than the crappy ones previously on the car, but having done the research, these new ones are definitely above average.

Well looks like I should have replaced all 4, might have saved me needing to buy a new wheel
