To OP, you can get BF3 for £14 from CJS-cdkeys.com
It's the RU client but it is easily converted using the guide below BF3 purchase page, thought it was dodgy at first but the keys work fine.

exactly 0 issues with origin contrary to steam disconnects, slow downloads, higher prices, more intrusive and cloud that fails to keep saves.

TBH the only issue I have with Origin is that it doesn't resume downloads. Other that that it's there but doesn't intrude at all.
