Just took my car down to the garage to get new brake pads fitted due to a grinding noise coming from the front, just had a phone call saying the whole braking system is in a bad way, so the pads and discs are worn right down and the cylinders at the back are shot and leaking brake fluid, so need a whole rework at a cost of £250! 
plus the £95 I just spent taxing the bloody thing, that's all my money for the month gone lol
