apparently they have shut the gates to the test centre my instructor called them this morning and its a no go. test centre is in Newcastle Under Lyme

Not that bad, very cold but we don't get much snow round here (maybe a couple of inches) I hear you measure your snow in feet up there

Driving tests get cancelled as soon as you can't see road markings though so it's little wonder, I'm sure they've cancelled a fair few recently.

Tried to get the vectra up a hill today with about 3 inch thick snow. Completely undisturbed with no gritting.

Was going nowhere at all and just span the wheels, had to detour to a different route that had been well trodden by cars to create ruts to get up it.

Once i was off fresh snow, and in the half melted slush it was fine. Still not a single road was gritted this morning. My 10 mile commute took me about 90 minutes

A manager at work came to work hassle free and managed to get her car up a steep snowy hill with the aid of tyre socks, I was so envious of her...

I never knew such a thing existed

She also claimed it stops her from sliding about allover the place...not sure whether to believe it? :confused:

Same date mine was on and it was the first test the centre did after last years heavy downpour. There was still snow on the ground.
