Johnny the homicidal maniac. It's a very dark graphic novel, check it out, you'll probably like it.

I'm not entirely sure what you're after but maybe you'd enjoy some of James Herbert's work? He often touches on some pretty disturbing themes...maybe The Dark would make for a good starting point?

EDIT - Heh I like the stylistic variations I'm reading about on wiki...folk and viking black metal?! :confused:

The darkest book I've ever read was A Mind to Kill by Andrea Hart. On first glance, it's not really what you might be looking for: It's about a woman who is witnessed by lots of people killing her husband, but she claims she's innocent. Read further into it though and it's very dark, very gothic and the ending is chilling.
