Dark Blue Audi TT Stolen from Kenilworth, Warwickshre. Reg: RA57 HHS

Ouch, sorry to hear that bud. Warwick is quite a nice area is it not? So definitely targetted...

I have a tracker, although I fear it would be disabled. The only advantage I guess is that my car is pretty uncommon and the community is very close. I haven't ever seen a Z4M in Imola red in person before buying mine.

When they go they go i cant see the value in driving yourself mad, otherwise we'd all drive Corsas and live in tin huts.

Like i said before get a decent zone alarm and cut the chance of it going by 90%, very few car thiefs actually want to tie you up and rob you at gun point, dont believe the hype.

Maybe it's because I don't have a wife or kids to worry about, but I cannot ever imagine being too scared to own something I wanted. Do these same people purchase a Rolex and then not wear it out just incase they get mugged?

Hi...Just seen your thread and know exactly how your mum feels. I live just 10 minutes outside Kenilworth and on the 19th December popped out to Balsall Common to the Garden Centre and my phathom black Audi TT roadster was stolen from the drive, reg number Private plate J8 00 JUU (2007) red leather interior 18" alloy's low mileage.

Police believe three people broke into our house (footprints in the snow helped!) found the spare keys hidden away in a kitchen drawer for the TT and my partners Lexus although we were out in that car at the time. They ransacked all electrical goods (TV's laptops wii etc etc) from the house and all our christmas presents from upstairs and were gone.

Police think we were also watched and they were waiting for us to go out however they took a chance as it was the really snowy weekend before Christmas and we almost turned back as the roads were so bad. We checked the lanes the next day and found my partners claw hammer which had been dropped from a car so they were serious in getting away and not being stopped in the process.

Couple of questions that might link us is a neighbour saw a white pick up and took the reg number so police are looking into this, also I had just recently had to have my car in a body shop in Coventry as a third party missed the cross roads by our house and ended up in our front garden which caused extensive stone damage to our cars in the driveway, so both cars had only recently been returned to us mine with over £5000 of work done including a new hood. Police think there could be a link.

Anyway I wish you luck there has been no sight or sound of my TT and I am gutted had it since new and loved it. It is so awful to be targeted like this we feel so angry. We have now installed CCTV, upgraded the alarm etc so hope it helps. However the car insurance people are now trying to rip us off with a ridiculous offer for my car so will be lucky if I manage to replace what I had.

Certainly sounds like it's the same group. We've heard nothing about the TT so I would imagine it's been stripped for parts by now.
Interestingly a bag that was in the boot of the car was found by a passer by, dumped on a road about 10 minutes from my house on the outskirts of Coventry on the Saturday evening (stolen on Friday). So really have no idea if it's still hanging around the area.

There were 4 houses done in the space of 3 days on our estate, 3 on the same night (around end of November). All Audi's, 3 were stolen and the 4th one they were disturbed after taking the patio doors off the hinges and scarpered. None of the cars has have been found (one was a neighbours and he's been checking with the Police)
