How do you kill the knight shade type npcs in darkroom garden after you open the door with the key?

Also I have gold pine resin but it won't let me use it, why?

Edit. I didn't realise you can attack the shades, they just can't be targeted.

Just let them chase you until you get to the edge of the cliff on your right, there is only enough room for one person to stand there. They will automatically run up the steps and try to come down on you from above and fall over the edge to their death, easy 2000 souls for each every time. Go back to the bonfire, rinse and repeat. :)

Also if you are using the gold pine on the drake sword it will not work.
 
iron golem down, happy days work, gotta explore the fort a bit more first then maybe somewhere new. Is anor londo just another place? I havent yet figured out what is actually the progressive direction story wise ha! i rand two bells and i think i gotta do something in anor londo to become a lord or something thats what the huge snake said.

ahh excellent that will be the place i head to next. I havent fully explored blight town (cos i just wanted outta there!) did the boss and got the hell out as i missed the hollow tree thing?

but yeah graveyard>catacombs then giant tomb thing? hrmm wait i havent done the ghosts in Londo ruins yet? I'm level 38. (tbh ive not been levelling so much because i figure it will be easier to multiplayer at the lower levels?)

Also want to upgrade my lightning spear to the next version within my covenant...i think i only need 3 mp assists for that :)

It looks cool though. Fits my build - sorta Paladin. And you can upgrade it with the cheapest stones. Other Armours like the Eastern set look sweet as well but you need twinkling titanite to upgrade em.

If it looks cool wear it. Also have the Ninja set armour :D

Anyone joined the darkmoon covenant?
I have played like 25hours and eventually join them, to then walk through the fog and get thrown out!
Had to farm 134000 souls to reset my sin with the bishop. Not a happy chappy
 
Where do you Learn warp? I've just cleared ash lake and now I have back track all the way through the lake, the great hollow and blight town to get out. It's pretty annoying.

If anyone has made it to the dragons in ash lake, walk behind him and cut his tail off for a sword.
 
Wow, i'm totally and utterly stuck in Anor Londo.
I spent 4 hours in the game last night and got nowhere at all except 4 levels up from helping people kill Iron Giant...managed to kindle the Anor Londo 2nd bonfire but lost the rest of my humanity.

The 3rd bonfire is just within reach but I can't get passed those 2 knights where you walk up the ramp.

Are ther any shields which block their ranged attack without knocking you back?
Whatever way I turn they hit me in the back - they fire every 2 seconds so I don't have enough time to do much. Plus the ledge is barely the width of your character so it's not like I can dodge.
The left guy tends to move down the ramp slightly, and if I can make it over to him he usually jumps off to his death. Problem is, by myself the other guy just shoots me in the back and I fall off. Guess i'll get more humanity, get 2 people in to help and let them go up first. Problem with that is I can't light 3rd bonfire so will have to hope we make it all the way to the boss without me dying - which shouldn't be an issue if nomore tight ledges.

I can get to those knights without healing, and I have 10 healing potions so it's annoying the hell out of me that the bonfire is right behind them. !!!!!!!!
 
Well, I think I have farmed almost enough, got to level 50 last night. Going to farm 100k souls tonight and continue on my adventure.

I stupidly talked to the big cat in the gardens as I was heading to get my stone armor loot, figured I would join the covenant she was offering... Next thing you know, I am stood toe to toe with the gits I had been farming! So had to smack them around a little to break the 'friends' barrier with them lol.

I still feel slightly weak for my level though, I can wear stone armor and not be to bad on my feet, although with elite knight armour Im am pretty nimble! however, I am still having to swipe twice to kill those stupid bush monkeys :(

My drake sword is still the most powerful thing I have sadly.

Anyway, anyone know where I can get some firebombs? Going to farm the slimes tonight to get titanites.

first merch in undead berg has firebombs, can cut up to him through lower berg not far from the depths. Not sure there is any point wasting ages farming titanite its mostly abvailable plenty cheap enough
 
The armour from the merchant in the depths is Very Important if you are continually being cursed by the frogs(as i was uuuggghhh).Farm souls and buy the armour.Then trash everything in the depths without worrying about being cursed.(Note if your stamina is of average stats you will be very slow but you won't need to roll to kill everything)
Don't forget to put lighter armour back on to face the boss.

I was in Blighttown for a couple of hours yesterday and decided to head back out in the end. It's a good place to farm souls but I didn't have anything to cure toxins, which was proving annoying as I was getting hit quite often by the blowdart snipers. Decided to head back out and over to Darkroot Gardens to try and farm some Blooming Purple Moss which can cure toxins, then head back down. Went down to Darkroot Basin instead, killed all of the Silver Golem dudes, then went after the Hydra. Didn't spot there was a drop in the water, and fell to my death, leaving 7k souls behind. Need to try and get them back tonight if I can, as I've not lost more than 5k souls in any one go as a result of dying, and I'd like to keep it that way. I was kicking the Hydra's ass as well :/

I'm 40 hours into the game and i have spent many hours exploring.I've just "toasted" the boss in the depths (Difficult)what i am saying is that so far there is nothing comes near to the Drake sword for i hit deaths.Get your strengh stat upto 16 to wield it one handed.
Ps.Has anyone found any other swords before Depths Boss that compare to the Drake ?
 
If you create a +10 weapon, it will be better. Depending on your intelligence or faith, magic and divine weapons may also be better. Other than that though you wont really find anything better until you get lightning weapons.
