I was in Blighttown for a couple of hours yesterday and decided to head back out in the end. It's a good place to farm souls but I didn't have anything to cure toxins, which was proving annoying as I was getting hit quite often by the blowdart snipers. Decided to head back out and over to Darkroot Gardens to try and farm some Blooming Purple Moss which can cure toxins, then head back down. Went down to Darkroot Basin instead, killed all of the Silver Golem dudes, then went after the Hydra. Didn't spot there was a drop in the water, and fell to my death, leaving 7k souls behind. Need to try and get them back tonight if I can, as I've not lost more than 5k souls in any one go as a result of dying, and I'd like to keep it that way. I was kicking the Hydra's ass as well :/

lol I fell down there twice. The Hydra is the easiest boss in the game by miles as it's only close range attack is useless. But that drop...urgh. :mad:
 
I killed Sif after 5 goes today. I found it difficult to judge his attacks, mainly between the side swipe and the spin, it wasn't too bad once I was underneath him.

I'm now level 60, and I think I will try farming souls in the garden using the ledge trick people are talking about. I might try to farm my strength up to 50 so I can use my Dragon's Greatsword or the Dragon's axe.

I might head into the valley of the drakes and see if I can take down the boss in there.

Nearly fully clad in Eastern Armour too, looks very awesome and has really good stats.
 
Yes it is but you can't return until its finished so make sure you are ready since it has a difficult boss. If you have a +10 weapon you can apply lightning at a blacksmith here which makes it easier but he is near the end of the level.

Yes Anor Londo is next but is quite tough. I made it through with a plain old +9 Iiota until I got through to the blacksmith who upgraded it with lightning. Once you get to him you open up a shortcut back and you can get back to Sens if the bosses prove too much.

You could go through the catacombs and beat pinwheel or go beat Sif before going to Anor Londo but other than that this is your next destination.
 
why do people have trouble getting back from anor londo? you can talk to the demon thing that brought you there to begin with and go back to where you fight iron golem?

Thanks for the info guys i might leave it a little maybe go kill sif and clear out the ghosties now i have the covetous serpent ring.

The only lightning effect is when you strike someone, a bit disappointing really. You need to upgrade a standard weapon to +10 and then the blacksmith in anor londo will upgrade it using titanite chunks. This page has everything you need to know:

i think i got mine from the titanite demon (duhhh!!) by the blacksmith near darkroot. There are 2 more in the sewers of sens fortress but i ran away from them!?!
 
How the hell do I get the tower shield when I need it? I've killed him first time on 3 chars now, and Ive had it drop on the two chars that can't use it :mad:.
 
Hmmm I'm rocking around the Depths with 40k souls, 10 humanity, and I can't get away from rats and bloody Frogs! What does a hero have to do to get chicks!??
