It's very annoying and has taken me a good 6 months to get used to it, and I still have to think about it :p

That and US keyboards with their stupid swap of " and @

I have been using a MBP for months now and I still **** up the " and @!

Incidentally your post count is almost exactly how much you are overdrawn. [at the time of this post, of course.]

Back in the day Americans just wanted to be different so they did many silly little things like this, they're copycats when it comes to games and sports, for instance with rugby they gave the players padding and changed its name to football for some odd reason, rounders turned into baseball, the list goes on, they take something change the name and setup a bit and call it their own.

What like war when they bomb allies? LOL

Germany, and presumably other countries in Europe, use commas instead of periods for decimals. And use periods instead of commas to split up large numbers.

It can make larger numbers with decimals a tad odd to look at if you don't know about this! i.e 100,000.00 becomes 100.000,00!

The American date system is admittedly stupid, smallest to largest and vice versa makes sense, anyone from any country can figure out those systems but with the American system you're left wondering which is the month and which is the day, especially considering use of it is not consistent.
