I have just watched Question-time on iplayer, and I was hugely impressed with Dr David Starkey.
Previous to this I have only come across him because of his historical documentaries and books (being a dedicated history buff, it is impossible not to)
His insight and forthright attitude to the questions put to him were a breath of fresh air.
I liked him because, like myself, he is a bit of a contrarian, but unlike myself at times doesn't get caught up in the contrary position for the sake of it.
My question is this,
Why on earth are people like David Starkey not running the country? or at the very least having real input in policy?
