Which DDR2 strikes you as being value for money with performance in mind?
I know the value of memory is hyper inflated right now, however, what do you think is best for a 2x2GB

If youre not clocking too heavily get this where the tighter timings will help

Say what?

Cas 6 on those sticks is slower than a cas 5 kit.
Where are you getting tighter timings from?

Dont waste your time with cheap ass kits like that, while you can save a few quid on memory I wouldnt recommend you drop that low.
There isnt much choice these days with DDR3 becoming more commonplace now I know, but if I had to buy a kit now with a budget in mind I'd choose

linked to wrong one, thought I was linking to somthing with cas4???? strange, not so sure the kingstons worth the extra tenner over the corsair stuff for one point lower in tRCD and tRP, if it were tCL too then maybe as this is what has greatest effect but the others have less effect so not sure
Edit: In fact having gone and checked the memory the front page description of the crucial lists it as 4-4-4-12 then inside it lists CL6, strange

Tottally ignore timings. They offer little to no real world performance gain with Intel's Core 2 range.

The difference between PC6400 800mhz and PC8500 1066mhz in terms of noticeable performance will also be nothing

Just buy the highest mhz sticks that your budget will allow and therefore ensuring that when overclocking your CPU, you wont be FSB limited by your RAM therefore ensuring that you can get the absolute most out of your CPU.

Thats where the real performance gain is buddy.

These will do the trick.

Yeah thats pretty much point I was making in first post, though I realise I should have explained better, my point about the timings though was if youve got the choice its always better to get lower if you can, without really paying for it
