I currently have 2x4GB of these: CMX8GX3M2A1600C9

I have two DIMM slots left, can I install two matching DIMMS that are different make and model? The ones I have are PC3-12800 with CAS 11-11-B1, so they are slower. Will this affect my Corsair RAM?

Yes you can install them, but your ram speed will default to what ever the slowest ram is. If you want or need to run the total ram faster, you will then need to overclock it and run thorough testing during the whole process.

it will work fine, put the slower ram in socket A1 and all ram will be defaulted to that speed,
if you put the faster ram in A1 the system will try to run all ram at the same speed and it may not boot.

So I've put the RAM in, CPU-Z is showing the DIMMS I bought as Single in the Rank section? Does this mean they are not running as dual channel?
