Dead zen xtra need a new mp3

Hi all I tried to but the latest firmware on my 40 gig zen xtra and it is now dead. after a brief search of the internet it turns out that it is creatives fault and the firmware update is buggy. Anyway I need to replace it. I am looking for a 40 gig or higher with decent software. What are my options.

I say either an iPod, Iaudio, or Creative player.

Check the latest models out and see what takes your fancy. I like the look of the Creative vision m but a lot of people swear by the Iaudio X5 L. Wouldn't get an iPod myself but thats just me.

Had an iRiver H10 at one point but didn't like it (was buggy as anything) but I think it is a better player now. Currently have a Sony HD5 but they are discontinued due to Sony's crazy new model policy.

Got an Iriver H10 here and its excellent, good sound quality, its small, its light and its really simple to use. Ive also found out it has a really good microphone for some covert recording if you fancy blackailing your boss/lecturer
