Well ladies a gentlemen, far before its time as far as I'm concerned, my graphics card is dying on me. Its a BFG Geforce 8800 GTS 640Mb.
At the moment when trying to boot with it I get lines down the Gigabyte splash screen, and when I get into Windows it won't recognise the card at all, it isn't there apparently. Have tried reseating the card, and reinstalling the drivers to no avail.
Any suggestions would be helpful, failing that suggestions for a replacement card would also be nice :)
Thanks

Naud

Assuming you're the first owner - RMA it, get a GT or new GTS to replace it with and then sell the replacement card when BFG send it to you.

alternatively, do as vertigo1 suggests but but get a very cheap card if you can live without a high end card for a while and keep it as a spare when you get your card back

Thanks for the replies guys, just been to Overclockers and bought a 9600GT to keep me going, gonna RMA the old card, waiting to hear back from overclockers at the moment :)

You could have waited a little longer. My friend had the same card, RMAed it back to BFG and they sent him the replacement, a shiny 8800 GTX OC! This was before GTS 512 so I guess that's what you would get, could be wrong though.

Heh yeah we'll see, this is only a stop gap measure as I need my PC for work and stuff, tis not a bad card to be fair, gonna overclock it soon, only to a modest level though

Others have recently recieved a 8800GTS OC 512MB as rma replacement for 7900gtx cards so probably will be that.

Contact BFG directly for rma i think though :)
