As per thread title, I'm after a nice clean hotel or b&b near the station that does a good breakfast too :)
If you know of any could you pop their names or linkies here please :D

The closest hotels to the station that I can think of are the Hotel Rosetti and the Malmaison, across the road from each other. A couple minutes (literally) walk further into town is the Thistle and the Jarvis. :)

The Jarvis Piccadilly is OK inside. Bit ugly on the outside. Thats only a 5 min walk from the station.

Malmaison is nice and is just over the road.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in that end of Manchester.

Depends what you want to spend really, and how far you want to walk. :)

The Renaissance does a nice breakfast but it's a bit pricey. It's also closer to Victoria, so you'd have to take a short metrolink ride (or walk).

Loads of cheap places around Picadilly Gardens. I've tried the Jarvis Picadilly, Britannia, and Britannia Sachas. None of the three I've tried offered breakfast to me, and in one case, they didn't even offer a window (the Sachas). OK if you just want a cheap bed for the night though.

I believe there's a hotel or two very close to Picadilly, but I've not stayed there.

Don't know if this will help, but no harm in mentioning them. :)

I'll only be using the place to get a decent nights kip really before going to pick my bike up from the dealership in Wigan. If it's in a decent area too then that would be handy as I may want to pop out for a pint or two later ;)
