Hi guys.

Whilst I have just put Uplay on the system in wait for The Division, I decided to reinstall the good old FarCry 3. Problem is, I can't get past the launch screen without it CTD with an error message "Far Cry 3 has stopped responding" The strange thing is, when I loaded the game for the first time, I got into the menu, first thing I did was go to graphic options and changed the resolution to 2560x1440 but upon doing that the game froze. Had to ctrl+alt+del to get back to desktop, but every time I now launch the game, it throws me back to desktop just after the splash screen.

Anyone got or heard of any similar issues or fixes?

Nevermind sorted it.

Last time I played this game was at 1080p and a 7950. Now at 1440 and a WORKING CROSSFIRE FINALLY!!!!! Lol with everything at ultra or highest possible and a solid 100+fps, this will be a joy to play this again.

Vas is so cool lol, just did the opening sequence and into first village climbing the tower. Playing this time on hardest difficulty, already died like 5 times in the intro haha.

I'm waiting for my new mouse to arrive to re-play this with my new graphics card. Can't wait. I think the graphics still look great for a game that old. Kinda considering picking up Farcry 4 as well.

I had this issue first time round (at 1080). I ran it in full screen windowed mode on GTX780 and it was fine afterwards.
Not played it for a long time and now have 1440 and GTX970.

think I might have figured it out, here's hoping anyway. Might well be MSIAB that's causing the crashes, I've had it turned off for last 45 minutes and no crashes, so touch wood that's the cause.

I've found msiab to crash a lot of games lately. so much I've just uninstalled it...might try again after few months
