Decision time today

For god sake Fox! Get the MSI P67A-GD65 and be done with it!

You have missed out now on calming the VAT back on the GD65 as you have been farting around with the Asus vs MSI debate! :p That VAT back offer made the GD65 an even better deal than it already is.

Been running at a stable 4.6Ghz on my GD65 for 2 weeks now I haven't even pushed the board yet just a slight V core increase and then upped the multi and I'm at a stable 4.6Ghz with a 2500K.

The MSI GD55/GD65 boards are solid and stable overclockers, the build quality on the board is fantastic.

But to be honest it was the Military Class II marketing that sold me (:rolleyes: :D).
 
well i just got my asus and 26k and ripjaws c6, just temporarily set it all up on the mobo box turned it on and......................

ITS fine phew!!

the red mem light came on twice and stayed on the second time it came on for longer, i thought here we go but thankfully it went off. so went into bios, cpu was leveling out at 50c!!!! standard intel cooler is crap, and yes i got all four mounts to click right. put the fan settings on full, saved and reset numerous times and everything seems a-ok.

memory is being picked up fine and running at 1600 no adjustments needed, i used the blue slots. now i know everything seems to work im going to pack it up and put it in my machine maybe over the weekend or next.

one thing thats bugging me is when i choose discard changes and exit the screen goes black like its resetting but then the screen comes on and im back at the main advanced mode bios screen? however save and reset does the trick, i guess discard and EXIT means discard any changes in the secondary screens and exit out of them to the main screen?


looking forward to clocking this thing.
