Decorating living room - Where to put TV??

I had a similar dilemma when we moved into our house. I tried several options; above the fireplace, next to the fireplace and opposite. In the end I went with opposite because we all would have had to wear neck braces otherwise.

I find this odd - you've positioned the TV to take focus away from the fireplace. Would have thought the TV would be better in the corner from which the picture is taken.

Guessing there is something out of view?

Not a single color that is the same, everything has an individual color but all works together so seamlessly

Personally I don't like TVs mounted above fireplaces. Means you end up having to look up to watch TV.

I'm lucky in that my eyes also move up and down. I've had a tv above the fireplace and had no issues

What???? Go put your fire on and then measure the temp where the TV would be sat. Then go and read your handbook especially the part about operating temps.
