quick question, as ive never modified my car (not had one worth doing so yet)

how much do you have to declare to the insurers. Ive seen modified cars that include huge spec list (sneaky peakers impreza for one http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17784012) do you have to declare each item individually ?

and secondly do they bump up your insurance like £5 per strutbrace or something, or how does it work ?

why does this tripe allways get posted

as two people have already said, your insurers have a legal obligation to pay. the worst they would probably do, is work out how much the alloys added to your premium, then backdate it to the start of the policy and charge you the extra.

assuming your car wasnt in a state to drive it home and change them back before it went into the garage of course ;)
