Deleting Android Text Mesages

Hi,

I can not find in the android menu any option / folder where the deleted messages are store waiting to be permanetly deleted from the sytem ! ?

So where are the deleted the SMS's on mobile ! ?

PS. my mobile is HTC Desire S, Android 2.3.5

In android i believe when you delete the message its gone, are you looking to restore deleted messages or do you just want to make sure they are gone?

There may be a 3rd party app which does what your looking for such as Handcent or Chomp SMS but its not something i recall seeing

I dont really see the need for a recycle bin type system for SMS and in my experience its not something that many phones provide as standard

I have found it ! ! !

in the SMS screen where the list of 'All Messages' are displayed.
press the settings (3 line) icon my HTC Desire S and there is a delete icon button.
Stored behind the button are all my past deleted SMS's

It is easy once you know how !

actually I have not found it at all,.....drrr !
The list of texts are the current ones stored in the 'All Messages' menu.
The delete icon lists the current messages which can be tagged for deletion.

So I still can not find where the deleted SMS's are on the android phone !
