Change your desktop to something that's all black. Turn off the lights (in a darkened room) and look at the panel from an angle.

Does the panel look like it has purple or white-ish glow?

Apparently, if it has a purple glow you have an S-IPS panel and if it has a white-ish glow it is an S-PVA panel.

They are all S-PVA as far as i know. No purple tinge here.
