Hi, whilst searching the archives, I saw that the choice of AGP cards that support the high resolution of the Dell 300fpw were rather limited. I think one guy was going to buy a Sapphire XT 1600 Pro AGP because I think this supported the dual dvi link. Did this work at full resolution? I would just like to know the options that people have got working for this monitor the an AGP interface.

Many thanks......JB

not 100% sure on this, but i don't think you can usa ANY AGP cards and run the screen at full native resolution. Some you can use at limited res, but that's it.

Hi, I have seen discussions that the Sapphire XT1600 Pro will support the dual link spec. It comes in 2 flavours the 256 and 512Mb that both seem to support the 2560x1600 (dual-link DVI) output.

The other solution I found seems to be the ATI 9600 PC/MAC- this passively cooled card was designed for the 30" Mac screen in mind. It comes with 2 dvi outputs....

Yes, thanks for pointing it out, but I do know the difference- thats why nearly all the Nvidia solutions had to be ruled out.

As has been mentioned repeatedly before, and ill mention again.

The PNY 6600GT AGP Dual DVI US Version supports two of these at native res no problems.

It has 2x Dual Link DVI ports and an HDTV encoder built in.

Great card, even works ok in games.

Nope several AGP cards can run it in native spec.

Probably best to read up on this before posting, eh? ;)
