Dell Inspiron 1300 DVD Drive not writing

This seems to be a problem with the computer rather than the DVD drive.
When I replaced the DVD drive with one I know works I still get the error no DVD drive found in ONES software.:confused:

Please help it's a real head scratcher.:D
