Does anyone know much about the performance of the inspiron 15z?
I'm specifically looking at the model with this spec for £599

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor ULV SU7300 (1.3GHz, 800MHz, 3MB) DISC GFX
15.6in Widescreen High Definition (1366 x 768) WLED with TrueLife
4096MB 1067MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]
320GB (7,200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330

It would be mostly for editing photos in lightroom & ps, but the ability to play a few games (nothing amazing, around half life 2 kind of level) would be a nice bonus.

I've been looking around and everyone seems to say the ulv processors are really underpowered and slow, but I can't find a comparison to non-ulv processor performance. So how slow are they?
Would I be better off sacrificing the freedom of the long battery life and slimness for better performance?

Yeah the ATI gfx will be slightly better than the 4500MHD in the 13z but neither will play games with high settings so for media/flashhd and everything else they will be the same just the 15z comes with a bigger battery capacity and screen :)

The CPU will manage perfectly for almost everything you would want to do on a laptop. Heck even Photoshop CS4 is fast for me on win7 x64.
