Not sure it's worth going for the rtx 2060 version, its not like you can really play games at 3840x2400 anyway. 1650Ti is more than plenty as is the 6 core CPU. Sometimes getting the cooler hardware is better for a laptop.

You've also got to factor in the cost of the warranty. I'd want 3yrs if spending this much.

Keep in mind that the 17 inch version has a vapour chamber so it should cool the 2060 well.

The price doesn’t have anything to do with it being a gaming laptop or not, this isn’t aimed at gamers. Have a look at the Dell G series, those are gaming laptops.

I get it but the price is just too much, for that money i would expect a far better GPU as a minimum. Far better laptops can be got for less cash.

I had a look at the dell outlet and saw this, which seems a far better choice and a couple of grand in the bank

But that’s missing the 16:10 screen, touchscreen, 4K res, larger trackpad, brighter screen, 4 thunderbolt ports, and bigger battery at least and it's considerably bigger and heavier.

So if you are happy to compromise on all of those things your option is a good one LOL.

yes, if you want to pay £2k extra, I would get a MSI for less and whoop the ass of the Dell but maybe that's just me. Even a HP Omen 17 is much better value and has a RTX 2070 and wouldn't be out of place in the boardroom

LOL

Still missing the above features though. Might as well spend £2k more and get the laptop you want than wasting any money at all getting something you don’t want.

Just accept that it isnt always about maximum performance per pound, as I and others in this thread have pointed out there are several reasons that people will select different models. Otherwise only 1 model would ever sell, the one that is statistically the best bang for buck, as all others are not optimal and therefore a worse choice.

maybe we should just have a single government mandated laptop we can buy? Let us have no choice at all!
