Hey guys,

Recently bought the Dell U2515H (It arrived yesterday) got it all set up and everything was all great. Until I did a backlight bleed test and noticed that i could see the outline of my desktop wallpaper and icons like an after-image. Any way to fix this or is it just something that happens with this monitor?

I found nothing montioned in reviews for this, is it a fault?

Found a youtube video that showcases what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfvOYSJTQx4

I would give it a week with normal use, some monitor do have a "break in period" so worth giving it a few days then see.

Although I had the Dell and can't say I ever noticed this.

That'd do my head in, know someone with this monitor and he's tried it and doesn't have that issue - he's had it a good few months though so perhaps as GMac11 says it's been broke in now.

I have the 27" version and haven't seen anything like this, neither can I replicate it.

Could they be using some different/cheaper panels for some batches? that would be my best guess.

Another 27" owner here and I have never seen this happen either. I know I wouldn't be able to live with it though.

Returning it back to the forest where I found it, I figure I may have better luck with ocUK. Unless you lovely lot can spec me a similarly spec'd/priced monitor? Kind of hesitant if I'm honest about re-packing the bloody thing if the same thing occurs next time.
