Hi,

I am looking to upgrade to this monitor from my aging VX910. I am running a X1900XT and Core 2 Duo 6600. (will it run ok? lol). I am a bit scared of going for a much bigger monitor than 19".

The issue which worries me is that there are lots of reports about various resolutions not working with 1:1 pixel mapping including 1600x1200 and other 4:3 (5:3?) resolutions.

Can anyone with this monitor and an ATI X1900 confirm or deny that this monitor does indeed work with pixel mapping properly?

From the rage3d forums people suggest there is a bug with the 2407WFP which has been acknowledged by the Dell engineers.

Cheers,

Mike

The 2405 allowed 1;1 mapping but since moving to the 2407 I've been unable to get this working properly,if I set the ATI catalyst control centre to use centred timings the monitor will still stretch lower than native resolutions to fit the panel.

It's not a huge problem for me because most games I play support 1920x1200, the odd game that doesn't virtually always allows 16x1200 which scales extremely well on the 2407,and looks pin sharp to me.

It is annoying though and I would much rather have the option to scale images 1:1.I'm not sure if this problem has been fixed in later revisions, mine is an A02,I think the latest revision is A03.

I've encountered the problem over both DVI and VGA.
