With the res being the same as the dell 24, it will be better on the eyes for desktop and net browsing on. The sceen on a 24inch is not even 2inch higher then a normal 19inch lcd..So It would be like using a 19inch in a res of 1920.. Surly icons and text are tiny on a 24inch??

I think the 27inch would be better for my eyes?

Totally the other way around for me.
I wouldn't want the 27" display because it only has the same resolution as the 24".
In effect you're simply lowering the "dot pitch" to fill the extra 3" diagonal.

Hi there

Yes agreed the 30" is currently the better deal from OcUK!

OcUK are cheaper on the 27" than buying from DELL direct and you get an extra 1yr warranty from OcUK for no extra charge. :)

I think I will have to get a 24inch tho, cos I dont have that kind of money, or do I keep my viewsonic vx912 12ms 19inch lcd?

I may be very interested in this when the prices eventually come down, as imho the 24" is too high a resolution for the size. I've been looking quite keenly at 22" models recently, so will keep my options open on this one.

Sold mine and went for the Dell 24" - one of best purchases i've ever made. Don't regret it a bit although the size wont impact like it would if you were moving from say a 15" or 17".
